This all might seem a little strange to a new user so I am going to try and explain the purpose and reason behind this forum. The authors of the blog located at http://vocemnostram.blog.com both are members of another Christian forum, as well as frequently visit a Christian irc channel. What was found there was a lot of anti Christian sentiment. People who have said they are Christian and yet seem to be the exact opposite. This combined with the love of both these authors for God and all things Christian lead them to decide to attempt to make their own foray into the forum world. This is the culmination to date of that attempt.
What is Vocem Nostram?
That is a very good question and one I hope I can answer correctly for you. Vocem Nostram is much more than a name of a website. It is Latin , but in literal translation means "Our Voice." God gave each of us as individuals a voice that needs to be heard, a voice that carries with it a lot of understanding of exactly who and what we each are. So when the name for the blog updated by two authors was under debate, I personally felt that no other name suited us. After all the purpose of all vocemblogs.tk and vocemnostram intentions is to simply have our voice heard. This forum, is a way for anyone who wishes to have their voice heard to do that.
Why forums for non-christians?
The boards for non Christians are there to provide for discussion with anyone interested in Christianity. Perhaps an atheist or agnostic wants to understand why we feel the way we do, or perhaps someone who is of a different religion wants to ask us about ours. Either way, as Christians it is our obligation to have our voice heard, and allowing non-christian users on this board allows for that. As Christians we are supposed to love and support each other, we are supposed to witness when possible, but the best witness to a Christian life, is simply practicing what you preach. Jesus did not exclude anyone from his messages, and I feel that no one should be excluded from ours. There are parts of this board that are reserved strictly for Christian users, and those can be accessed easily by adding yourself to the user group Christian. I will explain how to do this in another post.
What should I do now that I am here?
I personally hope that each person who finds this forum decides to give it a try, jump in and have some discussions. I think that the message of our loving Father needs to be heard, and I am appreciative of the internet and the ability to reach such a large majority of people. So jump right in, visit our introduction forum and introduce yourself. Find some threads and start posting.
