How do I register for this forum?
Registration for this forum at the current time is through proboards forum system. Registration is pretty straight forward, follow the prompts and read your email for activation. Once that is done you can move on to things specific to this forum. You must be registered to post, this will help cut down on spam and flame attacks.
What do I do once registered?
Once you have registered for our forums you are free to visit and post in any forums that you have access to. Note there are special forums for Christian members only members who designate themselves as Christian will be able to view and post on these particular forums. This is for privacy and discretion of our Christian members.
How do I access the Christian Forums?
Once you have registered you can decide if you want access to the Christian forums. You MUST be a Christian to access these forums, anyone found accessing these forums who is not a Christian will be removed from the group, and possibly banned from the whole board. Once you have registered you will be able to join the group "Christian" which will allow you access to these forum. The process is simple. Once logged in, from the main screen click Profile, select and click the tab Groups, look for Christian, and click join group. Once that is done you should have access to those forums. Note that there is a selection in the edit profile screen for you to select whether or not you are Christian, and moderators and administrators will be looking out for non-Christians on the Christian forums. If security becomes an issue the group will become closed and will require an administrator to add users to it. We hope it does not come to that.
What are the rules?
Each forum may have it's own set of rules, and so it is a good idea to check for sticky threads in each forum so you can learn rules specific to that forum. However, overall vocem nostram has several rules that should be addressed at all times. They are as follows.

What are the rules?
Each forum may have it's own set of rules, and so it is a good idea to check for sticky threads in each forum so you can learn rules specific to that forum. However, overall vocem nostram has several rules that should be addressed at all times. They are as follows.
- Refrain from vulgar or fowl language, it is ok to censor yourself and use abreviations that are not vulgar, it is also ok if a word slips in every now and again, but please do try to refrain from inflammatory and vulgar language.
- Do not give out any personal information on this forum. It is ok to give out your name, or the name you prefer to go by, but do not give anyone your full name, your social security number, your address, or phone number. No one associated with this forum should ask you for these, and if anyone does please let an administrator know. Privacy is a big deal and we want our users to feel safe.
- Refrain from overposting, or posting just to increase your post count. It can be tedious and annoying.
- Refrain from posting about the same thing over and over again. It is ok if you are new to the board and you ask a question that has already been asked, but repeatedly asking the same question or questions related to one you personally have already asked is a waste of bandwidth and user time.
- Be polite and courteous. There are forums here for debates, and these will have their own rules, and there will always be a point in time when people simply do not agree on a certain statement or thread, and this is ok as well. The main thing to remember is that we are all worthy of the love and respect we each want.
- Refrain from making statements that "condemn" other people, or make them feel unwelcome. Trust me when I tell you that the administration and moderation teams are watching closely and any one who comes to the forum to start trouble will be dealt with. So please do not lash out against someone. If someone seems to be starting trouble simply let an administrator or moderator know.
- Do not let this board interfere with your personal lives. Many times when we become an online community we feel a sense of family and kinship that we might not feel in other areas of our lives, and that is ok. The problem is that sometimes people allow things like that to seep over into their personal lives and take them away from things that are important. Remember that this board is mainly for discussion. It is not a guide post to your life, and it is not something that a simple click closing the window will not make go away. If you feel you are being harassed or made fun of on this board, please let an administrator or moderator know immediately. We will see to it that the problem is resolved.
